Are Americans Being Persecuted For Exposing Government Fraud And Abuse? By Lloyd Chapman The answer to that question should be absolutely not. Unfortunately, the undeniable truth is they are. Government employees and private citizens that have exposed fraud, corruption and blatant violations in federal law continue to be persecuted and harassed in a variety of ways. In many cases the government has trumped up charges against whistleblowers so they can be persecuted by the justice Department or the IRS. The Obama Administration’s unprecedented war on whistleblowers has been well documented by every side of the mainstream media. It is an undisputed fact the Obama Administration is the least transparent administration in history. On July 8, 2014, thirty-eight journalistic organizations wrote a letter to President Obama asking him to stop “politically-driven suppression of the news”. Just a few weeks later, 47 Inspector’s General sent a letter to the House and Senate Government Reform Committee asking for their help to stop the Obama Administration from blocking their ability to fully investigate federal agencies. Persecuting Americans that expose government wrongdoing is a vile affront to everything this country stands for. There are foul and corrupt forces within the federal government that are making a mockery of the most foundational principles Americans have fought and died for over 200 years. Should mothers and fathers send their children off to pointless and unending wars under the pretense of fighting for freedom so the federal government can eliminate our freedoms one by one and monitor every move and communication we make and then persecute and harass us if we dare to expose the rampant fraud and abuse in government? Why are we allowing this? This country was founded on the principle the government should fear the people, not the other way around. Thomas Jefferson said, “When the government fears the people, there is liberty. When the people fear the government, there is tyranny.” I think we have way too much tyranny these days and we need a lot more liberty. Even the mainstream media has been intimidated and threatened by the government. An unprecedented number of journalists are being accused of espionage for simply reporting on evidence that clearly show federal employees are violating federal laws and the most basic principals of the Constitution. I recently won another landmark Freedom of Information Act lawsuit against the Pentagon last November. I believe the information I am seeking will uncover hundreds of billions of dollars in fraud at the Pentagon. I wouldn’t be surprised if the feds haven’t already launched an anti-whistleblower campaign against me.
Federal Judge William Alsup ordered the Pentagon to release small business subcontracting reports that had been submitted under the 25-year-old Comprehensive Subcontracting Plan Test Program (CSPTP). Professor Charles Tiefer issued a legal opinion that described the CSPTP as a “sham” and that “its extension will be seriously harmful to vital opportunities for small business.” He also goes on to say, “There is no doubt in my mind the CSPTP has significantly reduced subcontracting opportunities for small businesses. It should not have gotten its 25 years of extension as a never-tested ‘Test Program.’ Let it expire.” I couldn’t agree more. I believe the CSPTP has cheated American small businesses out of well over a trillion dollars in subcontracts since it began in 1990. During the hearing Judge Alsup accused the United States of trying to “cover-up” the data. In the following hearing on January 20, he accused the Pentagon of trying to “suppress the evidence”. The Office of Solicitor General intervened in the case and the Pentagon has now decided to appeal the case to the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals. Why do you have to go to the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals just to see small business subcontracting data? What is the Pentagon trying to “cover up”? Why are they trying to “suppress the evidence”? Could it be 25 years of felony federal contracting fraud against small businesses? Clearly what I have uncovered is just the tip of a very huge iceberg of fraud and corruption by the Pentagon and many of its largest prime contractors. Will I get a metal from President Obama for my valiant campaign? Maybe some recognition from Congress for the twenty years I have spent fighting to expose fraud and abuse against small businesses? Now President Obama is trying to permanently close the SBA to cover-up the rampant fraud that has been uncovered in SBA managed programs. I predict my campaign to uncover fraud and corruption against America’s 28 million small businesses and oppose the closure of the SBA will be rewarded with the classic government anti-whistleblower attack. I have already begun to see the evidence of this. I recognized the campaign to close the SBA and silence me had reached a new level when former top Pentagon anti-whistleblower and PR hit man Terry Sutherland quietly took over the SBA Press Office. The governments typical MO against whistleblowers is to launch a campaign to destroy their reputation. Next they try and intimidate them with fabricated federal charges to bankrupt them emotionally and financially and destroy their careers. The federal government wants to make an example of them to intimidate other potential whistleblowers. Some whistleblowers like TSA Air Marshal Robert MacLean have even been targeted and harassed by the IRS. The Obama Administrations use of the IRS to go after their critics and political opponents has been widely reported in the media. Thomas Jefferson said, “All tyranny needs to gain a foothold is for people of good conscious to remain silent”. Government tyranny against whistleblowers is clearly beginning to take a strong foothold. Too many Americans are remaining silent on the persecution and prosecution of government whistleblowers.
